Tacos Sinaloa is a Mexican restaurant rooted in Santa Ana's vibrant dining scene, offering a straightforward, no-frills environment that centers around hearty, traditional dishes. Located on 17th Street, it feels like a spot where families and longtime locals gather to share familiar flavors without fuss. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, characterized by the hum of conversation and the clatter of generous plates arriving at communal tables.

What stands out here are the substantial portions and the variety of classic Mexican offerings that work well for both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast options like chilaquiles con carne asada bring a comforting start to the day, while plates such as the Molcajete Mixto—a mix of shrimp, chicken, and carne asada—highlight the kitchen’s skill at delivering layered and well-seasoned flavors. The menu stretches across tacos, burritos, and mixed plates that balance freshness and traditional seasoning, often accompanied by staples like rice, beans, and freshly made guacamole.

Regular visitors appreciate the generous servings paired with accessible prices, making it a practical stop if you’re hungry without the need for a formal dining experience. The salsa bar offers sauces with a range of heat levels, notably a green salsa that’s flavorful without overwhelming, reflecting local tastes. Service here can be inconsistent at times—there are moments when orders take a while—but the familiarity of the staff adds a sense of neighborhood comfort rather than a rushed restaurant feel.

This is a place best suited for those looking to enjoy Mexican cuisine in a relaxed setting, whether stopping by for a casual family meal or grabbing takeout. It works well for families, groups, or anyone seeking filling food with straightforward flavors rather than experimental takes. Midday or early evening visits tend to capture the busiest, liveliest atmosphere, with locals dropping in to unwind or refuel after work.

Overall, Tacos Sinaloa fits squarely into Santa Ana’s tapestry of community-oriented spots where food is a shared experience, offering solid dishes that reflect the area’s familiar, home-style Mexican cooking tradition.

Good food and generous portions at a good price. Service could be a little better. It took a long time for my order. They have updated their menu.

The food is delicious and the price was reasonable. I had the Molcajetes plate (shrimp, chicken & carne asada). Paid approximately $24 for my plate. The green salsa from the bar is perfect not too spicy. Doris our waitress was very friendly and attentive.

This place never disappoints. Delicious food for a good great price. If you haven't been, I highly recommend it. Update! Try the hard shell Shredded beef tacos!!! I ordered 2 and they are huge! I wanted another because they're so good but 2 is enough believe me.

Been here for breakfast and dinner. For breakfast I tried their chilaquiles with asada and menudo for take out. Their chilaquiles red sauce needed more kick but the asada steak was tender and was really well seasoned. The menudo was for my son but I tried it and was tasty. For dinner I had the fajitas and a shrimp cocktail and lets not forget a cold beer. Overall, food was good and very fresh and both times I’ve had great quick service. Coming back for sure to try more dishes.
